Not sure how, but somehow the NECA AVP-R pics I'd uploaded quite a while ago are gone. Probably disappeared when the site crashed a couple of months ago. So, since I'm now uploading pics of the amazing 7" scale 1979 Alien from NECA, I'll re-upload the two AVP-R Aliens (Warrior and Predalien) as well as both Predators from wave 2. Click through to check them out!

AVP3 in the works? What are your thoughts?
Posted on Saturday, March 29, 2008 (15:10:22)

According to Rotten Tomatoes, AVP 3 is a go. For the most part both AVP and AVP-R have had a less than enthusiastic reception from fans of the two franchises, but from a box office standpoint they've both made Fox a ton of money. So what are your thoughts on a potential Alien Vs. Predator 3? Cast your vote in the new survey located on the right side of the page!

Dark Horse announces downloadable Alien, Predator & AVP comics
Posted on Saturday, March 29, 2008 (15:06:06)
 | |
Dark Horse Comics has announced that the popular Aliens, Predator, and AVP comics series are now available for digital download on IGN Entertainment’s Direct2Drive (http://www.direct2drive.com). For $1.99, customers can now purchase digital copies of individual Aliens, Predator, and AVP comics that virtually mimic the first run of each issue by featuring the original cover art and trade dress. Fans of these comics can now enjoy classic stories by the likes of industry luminaries Mark Verheiden, Mike Mignola, Chris Claremont, and Andrew Vachss from the comfort of their own computers.
“In celebration of the December release of AVP: Requiem, we thought launching our maiden voyage into the paid online comics universe with the AVP line made perfect sense,” says Nick McWhorter, Special Projects Manager for Dark Horse Comics’ Custom Publishing program. “The experience that IGN brings to the table with digital distribution through Direct2Drive makes for the perfect match and we couldn’t be more excited about our new endeavor.”
“We are thrilled to offer Dark Horse Comics to our millions of Direct2Drive users,” said Sutton Trout, Vice President of Digital Content for IGN Entertainment. “We continue to expand Direct2Drive’s product offering to ensure that our users have access to the most comprehensive collection of comics, videogames, and entertainment content on the Web—and Dark Horse is a welcome addition.”
In addition, DarkHorse.com has recently added an AVP Zone where fans can get the latest in news, interviews, and general musings on all things AVP - visit http://www.darkhorse.com/zones/avp/index.php

I've installed a new gallery for the Alien Collectible Archive that I think looks and operates much better. The URL for the new Archive is http://www.8thpassenger.com/aliencollectiblearchive.html, and I have links to each category to the left. It's all the same good information, just arranged a little differently. If you have any feedback on the new Archive, please drop me an e-mail using the "Contact" link in the menu! And as always, remember that I'm always looking for new contributions!
