Alien Board Game (Italian)

Board game produced by Kenner in 1979. This is one of only a few items of Kenner's that made it to the production stage, the others being the 18" Alien and Movie Viewer. "An Exciting Game Of Elimination And Escape!" The point of the game is to guide your player (2-4 players) through the mother ship and be the first to the escape pod, all while avoiding getting chomped by the Alien in the meantime. This is the Italian version of the board game, produced by Editrice Giochi. It differs from the U.S. Version in many ways, most initially noticeable being the outer package color. The Italian version has a smaller section of artwork, and is surrounded by green color as opposed to the blue found in the U.S., French, and Australian version. There is no instruction sheet with this version - the instructions are printed on the yellow cardboard insert. The board is also bordered in green (as opposed to the black of the other versions), and the dice are black and green as opposed to the red and white in other versions. In my experience, this is by far the hardest of the four board game versions to find.
